To destroy and overcome bad habits that have been a part of you for years, begin by planning a goal for yourself. Write down what it is you want to accomplish. Study the goal everyday and do not doubt you can overcome it. By viewing the list daily, it will help you find the wisdom and strength within to finally accomplish your goal.
To overcome a bad or unhealthy habit:
Make a list–and add a date for when you want to begin to break the habit. Look at the list everyday and when the day arrives–begin the task, and nurse the goal by adding new ideas and ways you can break the habit for good. Add a deadline for when you want to finally break the habit. If you don’t make that deadline, jot down another deadline date.
Repetition and correction is the master to overcoming bad habits. After this, you can begin to focus on renewing yourself, life and purpose.
Goal oriented people face challenges head-on and use lists to remind them of what it is they want to accomplish. Successful individuals never give up hope or lose sight of their goals until they accomplish the task.
